Arantxa auctions a signed raquet on eBay
The Director of Sport of Barcelona KIA’08 will dontate the money raised to the Esport Solidari Internacional foundation.
RM Comunicación Integral, 30 May; The women’s tournament Barcelona KIA’08 which will be competed for between 7 and 15 June at the David Lloyd Club Turó has just put into effect a charitable initiative to auction off a signed racquet by our number one, Arantxa Sánchez Vicario. The racquet is already on auction with a starting price of 500€. The bidding will end on Sunday 8 June, with the benefits going to Raquetes Sense Fronteras, aproject of the ONG Esport Solidari Internacional to help children and youths in difficult circumstances. All the information about the event will be available from the official tournament website www.bcnwta.com.
At an event that will take place on Friday 13 June at 12:00, Arantxa Sánchez Vicario will present the signed racquet to the winner of the auction, and the cheque to Josep Maldonado, president of Esport Solidari Internacional. Barcelona KIA’08 will also give 500 tennis balls, used over the course of the tournament to areas in which the ONG work.
