DAVID LLOYD CLUB TURÓ
The Turó was founded under the name of Lawn Tennis del Turó in 1905. Before long, it had been converted into one of the principal sports clubs of the city. In 1911 the club moved to new grounds close to Descartes street. These new installations were inaugurated by King Alfonso XIII, who granted it the Royal title. After various changes, the club was given its definite name - Real Club de tenis del Turó - in 1939.

In 1968 the club moved its installations to their actual location in la Diagonal, which permitted the expansion of the number of tennis courts (11), build changing rooms and construct the clubhouse. Many Catalan Championships, international competitions and social tournaments have been celebrated at the Real Club de tenis del Turó. In addition, hosting various Spanish Championships and the Davis Cup have given the club recognition and reputation nationally.
In 2003, David Lloyd Leisure España, sister company of David Lloyd Leisure, took over the management of this prestigious club. David Lloyd Leisure is the absolute leader in managing health and fitness clubs in the United Kingdom, boasting a total of 79 clubs and approximately 470,000 members.
After over a century of history, David Lloyd Club Turó is still today a reference in the sporting and social life of Barcelona.
